Ren

Head Mod ✧ Manager ✧ Illustrator

Hey! I'm Ren, and I'll be basically managing everything that goes on in this zine, as well as illustrating, designing, and likely writing for it.

I have run several long-term writing and art related passion projects and seen them through to completion, including the construction of a visual novel that I planned, wrote, and illustrated for. I'm extremely excited for the new challenges this zine will bring us, and I am very looking forward to working all our contributors!

APPS OPEN!

Contributor Applications for DDX are now OPEN until November 12th!

You can apply for more than one contributor role! However, you’ll likely only be accepted for one to reduce stress.

Artists: The zine is going to include environmental pieces and character focused pieces with backgrounds as well as magazine-style pinups! So if you have pieces with backgrounds, it’s not a requirement, but it’s encouraged that you add them to your application.

Writers: The zine is going to be mostly first person ficlet zine, along with in character interviews, commentary about other characters written as if Mahiru were writing, and magazine-article style pieces. While it is not a requirement, a submission that best shows your skill in character interaction, dialog, and characterization are encouraged. Examples of first person writing are also encouraged, but not required.

Graphic Designers: Since the zine will be a magazine-style format, if you have any work with in the style of a magazine, it’s not a requirement, but highly encouraged to put in your application.

For additional information, please contact us if you have questions.

Good luck!
